Trump’s White House Crypto Summit: Key Attendees Revealed

As anticipation builds for the first-ever White House Crypto Summit on March 7, hosted by US President Donald Trump, the cryptocurrency industry is keenly observing the list of confirmed attendees. This pivotal roundtable event, scheduled from 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM UTC, is expected to gather over 25 influential participants, including members of the Presidential Working Group on Digital Assets.

Confirmed Attendees and Speculations

According to Fox Business reporter Eleanor Terrett, while the complete list of attendees remains unclear, two notable figures have been confirmed: Bo Hines and David Sacks. Terrett elaborated that the Presidential Working Group also comprises key officials such as Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, Attorney General Pam Bondi, the SEC chair, and the CFTC chair, among others.

Interestingly, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has hinted at his potential attendance through a post on X, shortly after Trump’s crypto czar, David Sacks, made an announcement on March 1. Terrett reported that invitations were sent out to attendees on the afternoon of March 4, suggesting that Garlinghouse was among the first executives to receive an invitation.

Exclusive Reception Planned

In addition to the roundtable meeting, an exclusive, invite-only reception is being organized across the street from the White House for those who may not be included in the main event. However, Terrett cautioned that these plans are still in the works and could be subject to change.

Calls for Inclusion of Industry Leaders

As the crypto community eagerly awaits the summit, there have been widespread calls for the inclusion of other prominent figures in the industry. Notable names such as ARK Invest founder Cathie Wood, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin, Circle co-founder Jeremy Allaire, Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson, and Solana founder Anatoly Yakovenko have been suggested as essential attendees.

“Now there will be the question of, how do we handle the other cryptocurrencies? And I think the model is going to be announced on Friday when we do that,” Lutnick reportedly noted, hinting at significant discussions that could shape the future of digital assets.

What to Expect from the Summit

The White House Crypto Summit is poised to be a landmark event, potentially influencing the regulatory landscape for cryptocurrencies in the United States. With key industry leaders in attendance, discussions are expected to revolve around the future of digital assets, regulatory frameworks, and the role of cryptocurrencies in the broader economy.

As the date approaches, the crypto community remains hopeful that the summit will foster constructive dialogue and lead to positive outcomes for the industry. The involvement of influential figures could pave the way for a more inclusive and comprehensive approach to cryptocurrency regulation.
